Club History

Beccles Town Football Club was founded in 1919 and plays atCollege Meadow Common Lane Beccles.The first team colours are black and white shirts with black shorts. The club nickname THE WHERRYMEN reflects the fact that Beccles was once one of the main trading Towns on the river Waveney where the wherrys plied their trade.


Beccles First team plays in the Dolphin Autos Anglian Combination Premier Division and are sponsored by Maurice Youngs Removals

The Reserves team plays in the Lovewell and Blake Anglian Combination Division 3 and are sponsored by B&B Skip Hire Beccles.
